Dr Arthi Manohar

Dr Arthi Manohar is a Lecturer in Design at the Brunel Design School. Arthi is a design researcher, investigating the relationship between social design and technology.

Dr Arthur Money

Dr Arthur Money is a Reader in the Department of Computer Science at Brunel University London. Research interests include Multimedia Computing, Human-Computer Interaction, 3D Mobile Virtual Reality, Assistive Technologies for Health Care, Serious Games, Inclusive Access in HCI, Human Factors, User-Centred Design, Emotion and Affective Computing.

Dr Antonios Kaniadakis

Dr Antonios Kaniadakis is a reader in Education in the Department of Computer Science. Research interests include social informatics, digital innovation, information infrastructures, fintech, enterprise systems, sharing economy, social media, organisational change, technology and society, higher education pedagogy and HCI.

Dr Cigdem Sengul

Dr Cigdem Sengul is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science at Brunel University London. Research interests include the Internet of Things, Security and Privacy, Human-Computer Interaction and Personal Data Protection.

Dr Federico Colecchia

Dr Federico Colecchia is a Lecturer in Creative Electronics and Programming at the Brunel Design School. His research covers applications of machine learning, user-centred design, and embedded electronics. He has 20+ years of interdisciplinary research experience in academia and industry.

Dr Fotios Spyridonis

Dr Fotios Spyridonis is a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science at Brunel University London. Research interests include serious games and gamification, digital accessibility, applications of extended reality, HCI and digital health

Prof George Ghinea

Professor George Ghinea is a professor in the Department of Computer Science at Brunel University London. Research interests include multimedia and multimodal interactive environments, multimedia applications and environments, adaptive, cross-layer communication systems, human-centred e-systems, mobile and pervasive computing and communications security.

Dr Isabel Sassoon

Dr Isabel Sassoon is a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science at Brunel University London. Research interests include data-driven automated reasoning, and its transparency and explainability. Her current research explores how computational argumentation can assist in model explainability and trust.

Prof Kate Hone

Professor Kate Hone is the Head of the Department of Computer Science at Brunel University London. Research interests include dialogue systems, affective computing, health informatics and intelligent data analysis.

Dr Lela Koulouri

Dr Lela (Theodora) Koulouri is a lecturer in the Department of Computer Science at Brunel University London. Research interests include UX, usability, human factors, natural language interfaces and collaborative systems.

Prof Mark Perry

Professor Mark Perry is a professor in the Department of Computer Science at Brunel University London. Research interests include the design and use of financial services, video and digital media, shared displays, collaborative and social media, domestic, and mobile technology to support creativity, playfulness, innovation and collaboration.

Dr Monica Pereira

Dr Monica Pereira is a lecturer in the Department of Computer Science at Brunel University London and a chartered psychologist. Her research interests include affective computing, intelligent data analysis, cyberpsychology, virtual environments and HCI.

Dr Nadine Aburumman

Nadine is a lecturer at the Computer Science Department. She is doing research in computer graphics, physics-based animation, real-time physics, skinning, secondary motions, cloth simulation and fluid simulation. The ultimate goal of her research is to improve the quality of 3D animated movies, video games and VR/AR/XR through physically-based simulations of virtual characters, cloth, soft bodies, fluids, and rigid bodies.

Dr Nayna Patel

Dr Nayna Patel is a Senior Lecturer in the Computer Science Department at Brunel University London. Research interests include UX and Digital Service Design.

Dr Pauldy Otermans

Dr Pauldy Otermans is a Lecturer in the Division of Psychology, Department of Life Sciences, College of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences. Research interests include HCI, employability, teaching and learning in Higher Education.

Prof Rob Macredie

Professory Rob Macredie is a professor in the Department of Computer Science at Brunel University London. Research interests include HCI, information systems and virtual environments.

Dr Stasha Lauria

Dr Stasha Lauria is a lecturer in the Department of Computer Science at Brunel University London. Research interests include neural networks, pattern recognition/processing, natural language-based interactions, dialogue-based systems, multi-agent architectures, robotics, machine-human interactions, social network and human-machine interactions and big data searches.

Dr Steven Sam

Dr Steven Sam is a lecturer in the Department of Computer at Brunel University London. Research interests include computing for social good, sustainable HCI and HCI for Development, digital divide and mobile and computer-based ICT4D, social implications of new and emerging technologies on organisations, society and people, ethics and governance of digital systems and ethnography, user-centred and participatory design methodologies.

Dr Tim Cribbin

Dr Tim Cribbin is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science at Brunel University London. Research interests include information visualisation, information retrieval, text mining, interaction design/HCI, digital libraries and social media analytics.

Umberto Famulari

I completed a PhD in Communication at Indiana University Bloomington (2022), and I am currently a Lecturer in Journalism/Communication and Data Storytelling at the department of Social and Political Sciences. Generally, I am interested in digital journalism, multimedia communication and its effects on the audience. I am especially interested in online visual communication and its effects on political support and public policies.

Dr Zear Ibrahim

Dr Zear Ibrahim received his PhD from Brunel University London. Prior to embarking on a fully-funded EPSRC PhD scholarship in 2017, he worked as a developer and analyst implementing Oracle Enterprise Business solutions at the National Physical Laboratory. His research focuses on deploying Open-Sourced Computer-Vision technologies through ubiquitous mobile devices to deploy accurate, efficient, and non-invasive health-care assistive technologies.

Mr Dev Aditya

Mr Dev Aditya is a doctoral researcher in the Department of Computer Science. Research interests include HCI and AI.

Mr Gerard Doran

I am a PhD student in Information systems and Computing research with a background in Psychology (BSc) and Brain Imaging and Cognitive Neuroscience (MSc). My research interests are in brain-machine interaction, primarily focussed on how brain data can be extracted using EEG and utilised to improve human-agent interactions using virtual reality.

Ms Ginevra Terenghi

Ms Ginevra Terenghi is a doctoral researcher in design. Research focuses on engagement strategies to tackle Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR). Ginevra is interested in Human-Computer Interaction, Scientific Communication, Information and Data Visualization. 

Mr Lizhou Niu

Mr Niu is a doctoral researcher at the Brunel Design School. PhD research topic is the optimization and integration of the emotional design of visually impaired people. Mr Niu aims to provide a reference for a more inclusive assistive product design.

Mr Kanitsorn Suriyapaiboonwattana

Mr Kanitsorn Suriyapaiboonwattana is a doctoral researcher in the Department of Computer Science. Research interests focus on research methods for Human-Computer interaction.

Mr Pk Dzikamunhenga

Mr Pk Dzikamunhenga is a doctoral researcher in the Department of Computer Science. Research interests include data science, data analytics and AI.

Ms Qing Ni

Miss Qing Ni is a doctoral researcher in the College of Design. Research interests focus on user experience, innovative design, and ageing with digital technologies. The current ongoing research interests are using design methods to enable older migrants to build better experiences with language barriers and cultural adaptation.

Ms Saiphit Satjawisate

Miss Saiphit Satjawisate is a doctoral researcher in the Department of Computer Science. Research interests include HCI,CSCW, government payment, digital money and digital payment. PhD research topic is to understand the information and activities of benefit payments in the Social Security System in order for increasing transparency and accountability in the government service.
